Biography

Ann Gluf is an advocate, navigator and educator for individuals and families in the world of intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health.  Eighteen years of experience volunteering in her community brought her to a position as a Member Engagement Specialist for Cardinal Innovations Healthcare for 3.5 years where she assisted families and other community members with navigation of The North Carolina service system and provided education in the community.  Her passion for supporting individuals, families and the community is fueled by her son Eric who has Down syndrome as well as a mental health disorder. Ann began her current position in October 2016 as Care Coordination IT Training Specialist, supporting the Care Coordination team that supports members of Cardinal Innovations Healthcare.

Ann is a certified Person Centered Thinking trainer through the Learning Community and is also certified to teach Sexuality Education for Adults with Developmental Disabilities, Child and Family Team I & II and Nurturing the Brain of a Young Child.   Ann provides education on many topics to include accessing services, transitioning into adulthood and guardianship for families and individuals throughout the five-county area she represents for Cardinal Innovations Healthcare.
