Alice has worked in the field of Intellectual Disabilities for 35 years beginning her career working with school age children in a  Developmental Center in East TN. Initially, she worked as a Social Worker followed by a Resident Program Coordinator.  In 1990 she moved to community services, l under the umbrella of TN Dept. of Intellectual and Developmental Services, as a Foster Care Coordinator.  As direct care services were contracted to local community providers her role changed to case management until 1997 when the TN Settlement Agreement was implemented requiring the need for a training department to support and monitor required training for community providers.  At that time Alice moved into the position of the East TN Staff Development Coordinator until her retirement from state government in 2013.  January 2014 Alice continued her career working as a Staff Development Coordinator with D&S Community Services where she continues to date.  In 2008 Alice was credentialed as a Person Centered Thinking Trainer; has participated and assisted in facilitating five Person Centered Organizational sites; and most recently became a PC Mentor. I am available for Kentucky and Texas as well.
