He next worked in the field of child protection both as an investigator and ongoing caseworker both in Houston and Greeley, CO. Pursuing an additional graduate degree led to his move to the community college student service field. Here he provided academic advising, career counseling and disciplinary services. Both of his graduate degrees were complete while working full time.
Since 2011, John has worked as a trainer preparing people to provide supports to people with developmental disabilities. Besides being a Person Centered Thinking trainer, John is also certified as an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities abuse/neglect/exploitation investigator, a CPR/First Aid and Behavioral Management instructor.
John’s experience has given him a comprehensive knowledge of social issues and constructive approaches to address them. Additionally, he has learned how to communicate to a wide spectrum of people in an equally diverse number of settings.
