Mary Beth is the Lead for Helen Sanderson Associates USA and Assistant Director, Training & Organizational Development for Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC), a California nonprofit that provides person and family-centered planning and supports for 14,000 people with developmental disabilities. and provides training, facilitation, coaching, and technical assistance to regional centers and service provider organizations. Mary Beth has provided oversight to the person-centered organizational culture change initiative at TCRC since 2005. She has extensive experience in strategic planning and aligning mission, vision, values, and operations to help organizations keep people they support and people they employ at the heart of their work.
She is a Person-Centered Thinking Mentor Trainer, certified by the Learning Community for Person Centered Practice. She has facilitated and trained on Person Centered Reviews, One Page Profiles, Person Centered Employee Development, Person Centered Teams and Person Centered Supervision.
Together with Helen Sanderson of the United Kingdom, Mary Beth co-authored the book, “Person-Centred Teams: A Practical Guide for Implementing Personalisation through Effective Teamwork” and partnered with Helen Sanderson Associates to develop Coaching to Embed Person-Centered Practices in Daily Work, Positive and Productive Meetings, and Supervising Person-Centered Teams training. Additionally, Mary Beth developed a TCRC LEAD Academy, a 10-month program to build the capacity of person-centered leaders and together with Tina Calderaro-Mendoza, developed a Person Centered Planning Academy to develop plan facilitators.
Mary Beth is a certified Advanced Care Planning Facilitator, and has volunteered to provide end of life planning and Advance Director workshops for the Alliance for Living and Dying Well. Mary Beth has a B.S. degree in Child Development and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration. She is a member of the Association for Talent Development, American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and Association of Change Management Professionals. She enjoys the ocean, hiking, singing, and living in the Santa Ynez Valley on the central coast of California with her husband and two sons.
