Trainer: Person Centered Thinking (2 Day Instructor-Led)
Megan Wickland has over 15 years’ experience working with individuals and families with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Megan earned her Master’s degree in Special Education at UNLV and went on to earn an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education. She worked as a Developmental Specialist at Nevada Early Intervention Services for almost 5 years serving infants and toddlers. Megan transferred to Sierra Regional Center in Sparks, NV as a Developmental Specialist. She managed the agency Self-Directed Autism Services Program to include the development of a statewide policy and procedure. In addition, she collaborated with Positive Behavior Support-NV to develop and teach a parent training curriculum to address challenging behaviors. She became a Developmental Specialist IV as the Family Support Supervisor for 3 years. She managed the Family Support programs including respite and self-directed services for families. Megan returned to Nevada Early Intervention Services as a Clinical Program Planner. She currently works within the Aging and Disability Services Division quality assurance department.
