Susan Fegen is a passionate advocate for Person Centered Thinking. With 20 years of nursing and 15 years of managed care experience, she has had the opportunity to see and understand the need for change in our health care system. Her career with The Learning Community started in Texas as a trainer for Superior HealthPlan care management staff, teaching over 3,000 employees the principles of Person Centered Thinking. Having completed training in Texas, she was promoted to the parent company, Centene Corporation. She is currently manager of the Person Centered Thinking Programs. This position will allow her to bring Person Centered Thinking to a national level, and to embed Certified Person Centered Thinking trainers into States Health Plans under the Centene umbrella. Centene is currently supporting members in 32 states, England and Spain. Susan believes her greatest asset is her diverse experience with Nursing Homes, Hospice, IDD, Home Health, Behavioral Health, Hospitals, and Specialty Clinics.
