Anke Young

My name is Anke Young, and I am a Service Coordinator with Tri-Counties Regional Center in San Luis Obispo, California since 2018. Since my first California Gathering with TLCPCP in 2019 I am enthusiastic to learn more about Person Centered Practices and to share my learning. I have two children, Ben and Vicky and we love living in Morro Bay, California since 2005. I was born and raised in Germany and first came to the US in 1999.

I have a Master’s degree in Philosophy, with minors in Media Science/ Journalism and Pedagogic Science/ Education from Philipp’s University in Marburg, Germany. On my path of learning in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities I was a QIDP, a coordinator for a work-activity program and I am also a Registered Behavior Technician (R.B.T.). I’m also thankful for my learning in the years of being the chair of the Board for Estero Bay United Methodist Children Center.
