Ernestine Miles is a native
Washingtonian. She attended DC Public
Schools where she found her love for
volunteerism and helping others. She
entered the Federal Government through
the STEP (Student Temporary
Employment Program) as well as worked
for SYEP (Student Youth Employment
Program) summers and winters while in
College. After graduating from Bennett
College in Greensboro, NC Ernestine
attended Southeastern University as well
as Trinity University. After graduating with a Masters of Public Administration, she
obtained a job at
DC government working for multiple agencies such as:
Child and Family Services, Department of  Disability
Services, DC Public Schools, The
Department of Youth Rehabilitation
Services, and the Department of Health
Care Finance. Today Ernestine’s purpose and passion is advocacy.
