Biography

Kirsten Sanchirico is the Executive Director of TLCPCP as well as the Vice President of Workforce Advancement at the New York Alliance for Inclusion and Innovation.  Beginning her career as a New York Direct Support Professional in 1993 and in her current role, Kirsten has focused on the facilitation of cultural change in the delivery of services for individuals living with intellectual disabilities.  Kirsten has worked in partnership with The NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and other stakeholders on Direct Support Professional (DSP) workforce development by integrating the NYS DSP and Front Line Supervisor Core Competencies, as well as, the NADSP Code of Ethics and the NYS DSP Performance Evaluation. Her work received the Moving Mountains award in 2021 which is an award presented by The National Alliance for Direct Support professionals.  Kirsten became a certified trainer since 2016.   Kirsten lives on a small hobby farm in Schoharie NY with her husband where she enjoys gardening, farming and hiking. She has two children Cecelia and John, as well as two dogs and two cats.
