Biography

Where compassion and compliance connect, I’m the conduit for change in Minnesota. I’ve enjoyed Person Centered practices in both my personal life and my professional career over the last 20 years. I decided to become a trainer because I  witnessed how Person Centered Thinking can transform lives. I’ve worked in ICFMR’s, crisis facilities, group homes and decided to open a Family Residential Service program in our home (Adult Foster Care) in 2019. Watching individuals be part of something, supporting individuals to advocate for what they want and not what others think they should do has been beyond rewarding. I work with individuals who have selective mutism, personality disorders, anger management, autism and Asperger. The common trait with all the individuals I work with is “belonging”. Each individual has stated they are not valued, they don’t belong and no one listens to them. I want to be a resource for change. I’m excited to help individuals feel empowered, to show up for their lives and to educate their support staff and administration on how to accomplish this. The tools, once put into practice, transform lives and allow us to have a better understand on how to best support the individual as well. I’ve worked my whole life with people of all abilities but the greatest accomplishment I’ve had is watching an individual live “their” chosen best life while I was  part of their support system.

My husband and I have been married for 23 years. We have two unique and talented grown children. I’m a new grandmother. I’m a business owner with the best business partner and friend anyone could ask for. We have the same passion for people. I love to entertain and have large get togethers. In my past life I think I was a party planner.  I love the outdoors. I have two dogs, an Old English Bulldog and a French Bulldog. I love to travel and be at the lake. I enjoy repurposing furniture and doing DIY projects. I also enjoy organizing, anything. Cleaning, although to some is a chore, is a favorite of mine as well. I find calm and peace in doing so.  My life is both peaceful and crazy and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m excited to be part of this learning community.
