Biography

Araceli comes to the Person-Centered Community from a variety of perspectives; she is bilingual (Spanish), a bi-cultural leader, DEI Practitioner, Social social-emotional arts Facilitator, and holder of a Bachelor degree of Science in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy, holds a minor in Spanish Language, PEERS Curriculum Facilitation Certified and over 6 years of Person-Centered Planning experience. She was born in Mexico and raised in the farmlands of Northern California working in agriculture for most of her developing years, and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA—all these perspectives and experiences bring a unique flavor to her work in Person-Centered Thinking. Araceli currently leads the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs at AbilityFirst as the DEI Programs Manager. Her strength-based approach allows her to meet people where they are and offers a space for self-discovery, significance, and belonging.

Araceli trae consigo a la Comunidad Centrada en la Persona una variedad de perspectivas; es bilingüe (ingles), líder bicultural, practicante de Diversidad, Equidad e inclusión (DEI), facilitadora de artes socioemocionales, es titular de una licenciatura en Ciencias en Administración de Recreación con énfasis en Terapia Recreativa, una especialización en Idioma Español y Facilitación del Currículo PEERS y más de 6 años de experiencia en Planificación Centrada en la Persona. Es nacida en México y criada en las tierras de cultivo del norte de California, trabajando en la agricultura la mayor parte de sus años de desarrollo, actualmente reside en Los Ángeles, California. Todas estas perspectivas y experiencias aportan un sabor único a su trabajo en el Pensamiento Centrado en la Persona. Araceli actualmente lidera los programas DEI (Diversidad, Equidad e Inclusión) en AbilityFirst como Gerente de Programas DEI. Su enfoque basado en la fortaleza individual de cada persona le permite conectar y ofrecer un espacio para el autodescubrimiento, la importancia y la pertenencia.
