Biography
Lisa Meyer has worked in the human services field for more than 40 years. She is an independent consultant.
Ms. Meyer’s educational and professional accomplishments include an Associate of Science in Mental Health & Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Specialist, a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Education in Curriculum Supervision and Instruction. She has been trained in MAPS, PATHS and Biographical Timelines. She is certified by the ASTD Association for Training & Talent Development Designing Learning. Ms. Meyer is recognized by the Learning Community for Person Centered Practices as a credentialed Person- Centered Thinking Mentor Trainer and Coach and a Plan Facilitation Mentor Trainer. She worked with Michael Smull and Mary Lou Bourne on the CMS Center for Medicare Medicaid Services Person Centered Organizations project and supported implementation of Person-Centered Practices with 6 state department grant recipients.
Currently Ms. Meyer supports states with the implementation of Person-Centered Systems, Person Centered Thinking Training, Coaching, Plan Facilitation Training and PCT Trainer Credentialing. She provides technical assistance for educational systems that support students, youth/young adults in transition, their families, and professionals in implementing planning strategies that promote youth advocacy and self-determination. Ms. Meyer is also recognized by the Charting the LifeCourse Nexus team as a curriculum developer, trainer, Ambassador, coach and facilitator. She provides technical assistance and training to State Community of Practice teams and disability organizations.
