Biography

Randy Consford has been married to his wife Cathy for 44 years, has two children, and two grandchildren. He has four (4) dogs.  One has recently completed Service Dog Training for his granddaughter.  Randy grew up in the mental health field as a child of a mother who struggled with the devastating symptoms of schizophrenia.  He is currently writing a book about his journey with his mom. He has a broad work background to include serving as a United States Marine; Minister; Hospital Chaplain; and nearly 30 years in the community mental health field.  He is currently the Director of Special Projects for Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Centers and is responsible for managing several projects.  He coordinates Hill Country’s Disaster Response Services, Strategic Planning, Local Planning, Person Centered Trainings, and is often utilized as a project manager.  He is currently certified as an instructor for Person Centered Recovery Planning; Person Centered Thinking; Plan Facilitation; and Psychological First Aid.  He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
