Biography
Richard S. Amado, Ph.D. has over fifty years of experience as a psychologist, consultant, entrepreneur, and executive in the public and private sectors. His interests have evolved from individual clinical services to clinical delivery systems, then to clinical policy and governance, public policy, and finally to effective organization planning and development.
An experienced lecturer, instructor and facilitator, and semi-retired, Dr. Amado now works as a consultant and clinician. He has been a national leader in applied behavior analysis, positive behavior supports, and person centered practices. He is currently certified by The Learning Community in Person Centered Practices, an international organization, as a trainer, facilitator and mentor for trainers and facilitators. He served the Learning Community as Chair of the Credentialing Committee until 2022. In the private and public sectors he has initiated and/or supported several large scale organization transformation projects.
