Biography

Yolanda Green joined the Mississippi Person Centered Practices Initiative with the University of Southern Mississippi as a Training Coordinator in 2017.   She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Banking and Finance) from the University of Southern Mississippi and her master’s in Human Service Counseling from Liberty University.  Over the course of 28 years as a state employee, Yolanda has proudly served the people of Mississippi in several positions.  Her work experiences include Case Management, Residential Facility Surveyor, Support Coordination, and a Bureau Director.  She holds National Certifications as a Person Centered Thinking Trainer and Mentor, a Plan Facilitation Trainer and Ambassador for Charting the LifeCourse.  Yolanda has been a PCT Trainer since 2015.  She feels the ability to positively impact lives has been the most rewarding opportunity of all her career experiences.  “I continue to grow and learn with each opportunity I have to share person centered practices.  It is no longer a training, but my new norm.”
