Biography

Amber Maki is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and currently works at the Minnesota Department of Human Services in the Disability Services Division. Amber works closely with counties and tribes, community service providers and crisis providers, and DHS policy and direct service divisions to support person centered and positive behavior support initiatives. Amber started working in the human services field as a direct care worker in 1997 in a corporate foster care home. In addition, Amber has worked with families with children diagnosed with Autism, adults with Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injury, people with mental health needs, people diagnosed with developmental disabilities, and the Minnesota Life Bridge Program. In her free time Amber enjoys working out, listening to live music, going to concerts, spending time with family and crafting.
